Teaching of the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environmental and Soil Sciences

The staff of the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environmental and Soil Sciences and the University of Lleida teaches in different centres of the University of Lleida: at the Superior Technical School of Agri-Food and Forest and Veterinary Engineering (ETSEAFiV), at the Polytechnic School (EPS), at the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work (FEPTS). The teaching is related to the areas of knowledge of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Applied Physics, Physical Geography, Environmental Technologies, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Plant Production and Didactics of the Experimental Sciences. The majority of the credits are taught in the degree programmes and also in the master's studies. The Department is coordinates the Master's Degree in Soils and Waters Management. In addition, the Department also participates in various doctoral programmes and in the continuing education programmes of the UdL.

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environmental and Soil Sciences has different laboratories and installations for practical classes. At the campus of the Higher Technical School of Agro-Food and Forestry Engineering and Veterinary Medicine, the Department has laboratories for Soil Science and Phytotechnics, Physics, Cartography and Geographic Information and Remote Sensing Systems, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Environmental Chemistry and Biochemistry. The campus of the Superior Polytechnic School also has a Physics laboratories. All of them are used for teaching and for research, therefore the students can use advanced equipments and materials. To complement the practical training also field trips and technical visits are organised.
